Currently, in 2022, the Handy is the only sex toy that syncs with SLR directly. So, if you’re using this device, you don’t need to download any third-party software to get the party going. Just turn it on and feel the Gs!

For everything else, SLR syncs with the Haptics Connect App. So, you just need to make sure your headset is compatible with this app. Fortunately, all the major players in the VR space work with Haptics Connect, although be warned, that could change with updates in the future. The current list includes: 

• Oculus/Meta Quest 1 and 2
• Pico 3 and 4
• Oculus Rift
• HTC Vive
• Pimax
• HP Reverb
• Windows Mixed Reality

All other VR headsets that can run SteamVR are also compatible with this software. You’ll also need a smartphone to run the Haptics Connect app for smoother results and fewer headaches. For that, you just need a device running Android or iOS 8.0 or higher. 

What Devices are Compatible?

OPTION 1 - HOW TO CONNECT “THE HANDY” TOY (EASIEST!)

• Purchase 
• Perform the first time  to obtain your unique 'Handy Connection Key'
• Press the Wifi button on your “The Handy” Toy
• Launch the SLR app
• Log in with your active SLR Premium account info
• Click the  icon (Settings)
• Go to Interactive Tab -> Toggle the Handy Connect Option to "ON"
• Enter your 'Handy Connection Key' -> Press “Connect” button
• Play any Sex Toy Supported Video (A popup prompt will confirm when the script is fully loaded)
• Thats it! Now Sit Back and Enjoy Next Level Immersion!

OPTION 2 - HOW TO CONNECT YOUR KIIROO, VORZE, or LOVENSE TOY

Part 1 of 2: Android / iOS device steps

• Install Haptics Connect app for  or 
• Make sure to Allow location permission and Bluetooth permission for Haptics Connect app when prompted
• Make sure to Turn OFF 'Remove permissions if app isn't used'
• Turn ON “location” in your phone settings.
• Turn ON “Bluetooth” in your phone settings.
• Turn ON your Sex Toy
• Click the 'Devices' Tab in Haptics Connect app
• Scan for your Toy and watch it connect and react!
• Open Chrome browser on the SAME device you installed Haptics Connect app on and visit exchangecity.ru
  (If you installed Haptics Connect  then perform this step using Oculus web browser instead)
• Log in with your Active SLR Premium account info
• Click your SLR profile button -> Click on the 'Connect SLR to Haptics Connect App' deeplink button
• You should now see a new 'Player' tab confirming you are fully connected!

Part 2 of 2: VR headset steps

• Purchase 
• Launch the SLR app on your VR Headset
• Log in with your active SLR Premium account info
• Click  icon (Settings)
• Go to Interactive Tab -> Ensure “Connect to SLR Interactive / Haptics Connect” is Toggled to “ON”
• Thats it! Now Play any Sex Toy Video and Enjoy Next Level Immersion!

OPTION 3 - QUEST 2 (DIRECT METHOD) FOR ALL TOYS EXCEPT The HANDY

You can also simply install the Haptics Connect app directly on to your Quest 2 VR headset and connect your toy to it!

OFFLINE TIPS:

For Local Video and Local Script playback

• The script and the video file need to be renamed EXACTLY the same and in the EXACT same folder with simplified naming schemes, for example:
  • C:\media\video123.mp4
  • C:\media\video123.funscript

For Streaming Video and Local Script playback

• Place the script file into “Interactive” folder in either = the root directory on Android devices OR in the root directory of Oculus Quest onboard storage OR the “Documents” folder on Windows
• Rename the script file to match ONLY the video ID (For Example = 15479.funscript for the Hard Sell video)
• Now stream your video in SLR app
• If the app recognizes the funscript file, there will be a “BLUE Sex toy icon” in the video player menu UI, and the script name will also show up in Haptics Connect App

TOY TIPS:

• If you notice any choppy playback, you may need to turn off and on your device and reconnect your device in the Haptics Connect app just a 2nd time

For ONYX+ Users

• IF Onyx+ keeps blinking RED and stopping movement, just increase Your Onyx+ Speed setting several points above 10 in Haptics Connect App settings until the red blinking stops, then start decreasing that setting number to find the border for your device

• ONYX+ QUEST 2 users! -> ONLY Quest 2 users will first need to pair their Onyx+ directly to your Quest 2 Headset:

  • From your Quest 2, open the Settings menu
  • Select Experimental Features
  • Turn on pairing mode on your Onyx+ device -> then in the Quest 2, press the Pair button next to 'Bluetooth Pairing'
  • Select your toy from the list to connect!

For LOVENSE MAX 2 Users

Inflation level = setting #5 is maximum tightness
Position = Vibration increases intensity when depth reaches the lowest vertical point
Position inverse = Vibration increases intensity when depth reaches the highest vertical point
Speed = Syncs vibration strength to the actual speed of each stroke

• mid stroke = highest vibrations
• top/bottom points = lowest vibrations

Tips on How to Make the Handy Experience Even Better

The default settings on the Handy are pretty amazing, but here are some ways to enhance your experience further: 

• Set the Script Video Delay to -50 milliseconds (in the UI menu on the bottom). Doing this helps the Handy sync better and alleviates any lag or ping you might have with your WiFi network. If you’re outside of Europe, you may need to set the delay to -150 ms. Play with the settings to find the best results. 
• The Up and Down arrows on the Handy control the stroke depth/length. A deeper stroke feels better, so we recommend pressing the Up button five times. However, you can adjust the settings as the video plays to suit your preferences. 
• The Handy might get locked while you’re watching because of accidental button holding or combination pressing. If that happens, just reset the device so it will revert back to its default settings.

Although the SLR team is working diligently to transcribe all the top scenes in our database, some of your favorites may not be updated yet. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait for us to get to it - instead, you can write your own script and start getting the interactive sex toy experience sooner than later!

(Please note: we are working on a way to allow script-creators early-access to upcoming scenes. This will help us bring same-day access to scripts when new scenes are released!)
